Very friendly staff. Willing to help and anticipate needs. Was pleased to get free upgrade. Loved the full size fridge and kitchen .
This is a budget hotel so I did not expect superior facilities. The room was adequate and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 cats. Our needs for an overnight met.

The Hillside Motel was the best deal I had on my 8 day Canadian vacation. It was $20 less than other places I stayed and the bed was the most comfortable one I had after staying in more expensive hotels and B&B'S. The room was clean and had a stove, refrigerator, and microwave which was an extra convenience for people staying multiple days. There was a beautiful view of the valley out my back window. The owner was very friendly and greeted me by name when I arrived. Since I was alone he gave me a room near the office on the first floor which I thought was very nice. He gave me a map and told me where the nearest restaurants were right down the street. It was a great place to stay outside of the downtown section and parking was free. I was extremely impressed and would recommend the Hillside to anyone going to St. John. I almost didn't stay here after reading some posts, but I'm glad I did because I was very satisfied and would go there again if I came back to St. John.

This is a small basic motel, comfortable for a night's rest. The owner was exceptionally friendly and made every effort to make sure we enjoyed out brief stay, which we did.
For the price we didn't expect any amenities and we weren't disappointed.

Lokesh the manager made us very welcome and comfortable. The rooms were large enough and we also had wifi available. The location was also handy to St John's reversing falls.
